Module 3 - Content Dimension
This module has the following aims:
- getting familiar with the concept and what it entails;
- understanding how digital media represents current issues in diverse ways;
- understanding the relationship between the Content Dimension (global and digital contexts) and DC in the Foreign language classroom.In order to do so, you will be asked to:
- Task 1: examine the concept of digital activism.
- Task 2: reflect on the topic of sustainable tourism.
Content Dimension: global and digital contexts
The Content Dimension relates to the learners’ ability to engage effectively and critically with current topics and issues presented on digital media while finding their own presence and position.

TASK CORNER
- Task 1Examine the concept of digital activism
1. Analyze the Teaching Unit entitled Let’s take action. How to get involved in digital activism
2. Select a social cause/local issue you can introduce to your students.
3. Select informative material about the cause and adapt the teaching unit we provided above accordingly.
4. Read other participants' ideas on this Padlet and learn how they have adapted the teaching units in their own contexts.
Task 2: Reflect on the topic of sustainable tourism
This is a self-reflective activity. Please, feel free to note down your thoughts and experiences in your own digital or non digital space.
- What topics and themes do you associate with the concept of sustainability? Write a list.
